If there are differences between repository and locally scripted files, you will be presented with a list of differences between source code repository and your database:

  • Scripts that exist in the repository that have not been applied to your database - they should be applied
  • Scripts that exist locally but do not exist in the repository - they should be reverted

If your database contains not scripted changes, you will be presented with a couple options how these local changes should be handled before applying/reverting changes from the repository:

  • Your local changes can be left as is (but they may be changed depending on migration scripts)
  • You can discard them
  • You can script them into a separate migration script and re-apply the script after your local database is in sync with source code repository
